If you use Parrot’s Car Wash in Union City BEWARE.I HATE to even do this but I also hate for anyone else’s car to get damaged and be in the same situation. I’m not saying cancel your memberships and boycott but you should know how a situation like this is handled.I bought a brand new car 1 month ago and I thought I might get the wash membership to keep it nice, new, and clean. I have been going to parrots about a month pretty consistently. Wednesday night I was the last car to go through at 7:55pm. When I got out I noticed a suble lines on my drive side window but just assumed it was some left over soap typically i would grab some glass cleaner and clean my widows but they were closing so i figured i’d get it later The next morning I saw the lines again and was going to try to wipe the alleged soap off my window and that when I noticed it was 3 very large very deep scratches in my window. I went to parrots that afternoon to let them know and they said someone would call me about the situation. The GM called today and first didn’t even apologize and second tried to act like there is no way it came from the car wash. He specifically said “i have nothing that could cause a scratch that deep but i will look into it” he wasnt rude but he basically made it sound like he was calling cause he had to but that was the end of it The lines are perfectly equal distance apart. I know they weren’t there before I drove into the car wash because I immediately noticed them when I pulled out of it. Ultimately after the phone call I knew they weren’t even going to do anything other than try to tell me my brand new car must have just been like that. So Asher went to cancel the membership today just because we don’t want any more damage. They told him basically the same thing they don’t see it on the video (mind you it is a scratch in glass I can’t even get my camera to pick it up) and all they can offer is our membership fee back.No one bothered to even come out and look at my car and just so sorry our machine potentially scratched your window. I have used them since they originally opened as Peppys. They clean your car very nicely. But my nice new car now has 3 huge scratches on the window and I don’t think that was worth having a clean car for a month. I wasn’t looking for anything more than maybe just an appology and check your machine so no one else’s vehicle gets gouged. Or even just care to look at what im saying is damage. All they did was check a camera and say “there’s no way a car wash did it” but didn’t bother to look at the scratches.

UPDATE 2: I received a cancellation email. Thank you. To see previous attempts at cancelling, please refer to an email from my husband. The 2 attempts to cancel made at the car wash might have been neglected due to the fact that the attendant was wearing AirPods and was not actually focused on service. I spoke with Nick Gross on the phone just yesterday in another attempt to cancel. I am all for supporting local business, and I do appreciate the teacher discount for the first free wash; however, I feel like I was taken advantage of by this business. The reason my husband’s name was involved is because the card reader did not work the day we went up there. Thank you, again.I am not normally one to post a review at all, but I feel it is important to let the public know about this poor service. While using a "free" car wash coupon for teachers, I was somehow signed up for a permanent monthly membership. ($49.99 per month). In spite of several attempts to cancel the membership and be reimbursed for the charges, the membership has not been cancelled. Please be aware before providing your information or debit/credit card. It is virtually impossible to cancel this membership, even if you never joined. Nick Gross was thoughtful enough to look into this and get back with me, which is much appreciated.UPDATE: Thank you for your reply. While I appreciate the prompt response, I feel it’s important to note that I have tried every method of canceling membership multiple times (twice in person, twice over the phone, once through email) to no avail. At this point, I fear that we will have to dispute the charges through our bank. We have been charged $250 for services that we did not sign up for. We are currently waiting to see if we receive a refund, according to the GM of the Union City location.

Membership prices went up with no notification. We cancelled our membership and even though we’ve already paid for this month we can’t even get any more car washes or a refund. Poor business practice on this company. 0 stars. I only selected 1 star because it was a requirement from Google.

Peppy's is well worth the money. My vehicle comes out looking as good as if i hand washed at home, or even better. Get the monthly plan so you can zip right through any time you like and really get your money's worth. All of the workers are friendly and knowledgable as well. If you ever have a concern, just ask someone. The manager will gladly show the video footage from all angles to ease any concerns you may have.
