Wash Tub Introduce
For drivers across Indiana, keeping a vehicle clean is an ongoing task, battling everything from the dust and pollen of warmer months to the pervasive road salt of winter. While automatic car washes offer convenience, many prefer the control and thoroughness of a self-service wash, allowing them to focus on specific areas and use their preferred cleaning techniques. In Anderson, Indiana, Wash Tub provides just such an option, offering self-service bays for those who enjoy a hands-on approach to car care. It's a place designed for the do-it-yourself enthusiast who needs access to high-pressure sprays and cleaning tools to get their vehicle looking its best on the roads of the Hoosier State.
Wash Tub is conveniently located at 2709 Broadway St, Anderson, IN 46012, USA. This address places it directly on a well-known thoroughfare in Anderson, making it easily accessible for residents throughout the city and its surrounding communities in Indiana. Broadway Street is a key route, ensuring that finding and pulling into Wash Tub is a straightforward process, whether you're on your daily commute, running errands, or specifically heading out to clean your car. The ease of access from various parts of the community is a significant advantage for busy individuals, minimizing travel time and making the car wash a convenient stop in your routine. Its location suggests it's designed for quick in-and-out service for those who prefer to handle the washing themselves.
Wash Tub primarily offers self-service car wash bays, empowering customers to clean their vehicles at their own pace and to their own standards. Based on customer feedback, the services focus on the core elements of a manual wash:
- Self-Service Bays: The main offering consists of multiple self-service bays equipped with high-pressure spray wands. These wands typically offer various settings, such as rinse, soap, wax, and spot-free rinse, allowing customers to control the washing process.
- Soap Brush: Each bay is generally equipped with a brush for applying soap and scrubbing the vehicle. However, it's worth noting from customer reviews that the functionality and condition of these brushes can be inconsistent, with reports of them being "flat as pancakes" or having "no soap in the soap brush."
- Sprayer/Hose Down: The high-pressure sprayer is available for initial rinses and removing dirt. One customer mentioned needing an "emergency hose down," indicating its utility for quick dirt removal.
While Wash Tub aims to provide a functional self-service experience, customer feedback highlights both its intended features and some areas of concern:
- 24/7 Accessibility (Implied): Self-service car washes often operate 24/7, providing access for drivers at any time, which is convenient for emergency needs or late-night cleaning. While not explicitly stated, the phrase "emergency hose down at a late hour" suggests extended operating hours.
- Control for DIY Enthusiasts: For those who prefer to hand-wash their vehicle, the self-service bays offer complete control over the process, from the amount of soap used to the focus on specific areas of the car.
- Concerns Regarding Equipment Maintenance: A significant highlight from multiple customer reviews points to ongoing issues with equipment functionality and maintenance. Specifically, customers have reported:
- No Soap Dispensing: Instances where there was "absolutely no soap in the soap brush or the sprayer" after money was paid, leading to an ineffective wash and frustration.
- Worn Brushes: The brushes are described as "flat as pancakes" with "no bristles left," raising concerns about their effectiveness and potential to damage vehicles. An owner's promise to replace them "over two years ago" that was not fulfilled is also noted.
- Lack of Repairs/Replacements: Customers express frustration that despite price increases, "things don't get repaired or replaced if they are not functioning properly."
- Pricing and Perceived Value: The price for self-service has reportedly increased to "almost $5," which customers deem "crazy" for the current state of maintenance. This leads to a strong perception of being "ripped off" due to a lack of corresponding improvements or repairs, suggesting that the value proposition is currently a point of contention for some users.
- No Refunds for Malfunctioning Equipment: A critical issue raised is the inability to get a refund when equipment, such as the soap dispenser, is not working after payment has been made. This can lead to significant customer dissatisfaction.
For inquiries or to contact Wash Tub, you can reach them via phone. Their primary phone number is (765) 649-6111, and they also have a mobile phone contact at +1 765-649-6111. The physical address for the location is 2709 Broadway St, Anderson, IN 46012, USA. Due to the self-service nature, it's unlikely there's always an attendant on site, but these numbers can be used for reporting issues or general inquiries.
For locals in Anderson, Indiana, Wash Tub aims to provide a convenient option for self-service car washing. Its suitability for locals who prefer a hands-on approach to vehicle cleaning is evident in its easily accessible location on Broadway Street and the provision of coin-operated bays. However, based on recent customer feedback, potential users should be aware of significant concerns regarding equipment maintenance, particularly with the soap brushes and soap dispensing, as well as the perceived value for the current pricing. While the flexibility of a self-service wash appeals to many, the issues with functionality and the lack of refunds for malfunctioning equipment are critical factors to consider. For those in Indiana who prefer to wash their car themselves and are seeking a quick "hose down," Wash Tub offers the basic facilities, but potential users might want to assess the equipment's condition before committing their payment to ensure a satisfactory cleaning experience. The feedback from locals suggests that while the intention is there, the execution in terms of consistent equipment functionality and value for money could be improved to better serve the community.

★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1Price keeps going up up up but funny how the cost of water doesn't??? Up to almost $5 now for self service which is crazy. For that price one would think things would get repaired or replaced if they are not functioning properly but they never do. Brushes are flat as pancakes. So flat they could damage your vehicle because there are literally no bristles left in them. Owner said they would be replaced over two years ago and never were.Nothing wrong with trying to make a buck, but if you are going to keep raising your prices at least have a reason for the high prices like repairing things that need fixed and maybe then customers wouldn't feel like they are being ripped off!
Feb 21, 2025 · Welcome WendelPaid $8 to wash my car only to find out after putting money in and trying to clean it that there was absolutely no soap in the soap brush or the sprayer so it literally didn’t even get any of the dirt off my car and wouldn’t give me my money back.
Apr 18, 2025 · Heather MeltonWorst car wash ever. I am still thinking about it two weeks. No other car washes in the north end and i have wasted many ten dollar bills. There is no soap in the bin or something.I have a brand new car so I think I really noticed it more.I am shocked looking back at these pictures. This was maybe 25 mins after the car wash.
