In the dynamic world of local businesses, especially car washes, continuous improvement is key to meeting customer expectations. Midland Carwash, located conveniently in the heart of St. Louis, has been a subject of evolving customer experiences. While some patrons have encountered equipment issues, others have highlighted significant positive changes, pointing towards an ownership that is actively investing in enhancing the wash experience. This article aims to provide a factual and engaging overview of Midland Carwash, detailing its location, the services it offers, and the notable features that indicate a commitment to improvement. We will delve into why this local establishment, despite past inconsistencies, is striving to be a suitable choice for those in the Missouri region looking for a hands-on approach to keeping their vehicles sparkling clean.
Midland Carwash is strategically situated at 11066 Midland Blvd, St. Louis, MO 63114, USA. This central location in St. Louis places it on a well-known and easily accessible thoroughfare, making it convenient for residents throughout the city and surrounding areas within the greater St. Louis metropolitan region. Midland Boulevard is a significant artery that connects various neighborhoods, ensuring that whether you're coming from nearby suburbs like Olivette or Ladue, or from other parts of St. Louis City, reaching the car wash is straightforward. The ease of access is a significant advantage for locals who are looking for a quick and efficient way to clean their vehicles without straying far from their daily routes. Its placement on a main road also ensures good visibility, making it simple to spot and navigate to. For the busy Missouri driver, a car wash with convenient accessibility like Midland Carwash can save valuable time, allowing them to maintain their vehicle's appearance seamlessly within their schedule. This practical location is a foundational element in its appeal to the local community.
Midland Carwash operates primarily as a self-service car wash, providing individuals with the tools and environment to clean their vehicles themselves. The services offered are designed to cover various stages of a thorough hand wash:
- Self-Service Wash Bays: The facility provides multiple bays where customers can drive their vehicles in and utilize the equipment for a personalized wash.
- Updated Brush Systems: The car wash has notably transitioned to "hogs hair brushes" in its bays. This is a significant upgrade often preferred by vehicle owners for their gentler action on paint compared to traditional stiffer brushes, aiming for a safer and more effective scrub.
- Soap and Cleaning Agents: Users can expect to find options for applying various soaps and cleaning solutions to break down dirt and grime on their vehicles.
- High-Pressure Rinsing: After applying cleaning agents, high-pressure sprayers are available for effective rinsing, ensuring all suds and loosened dirt are removed.
- Wax and Protectant Options: Certain bays offer specialized treatments like RainX, a water repellent and shine enhancer, providing an added layer of protection and improved visibility during wet weather.
- Drying Facilities: Four of the bays are equipped with dryers, allowing customers to efficiently dry their vehicles after washing, which helps prevent water spots and achieve a streak-free finish.
Midland Carwash exhibits several features and highlights that underscore its evolving commitment to customer satisfaction and equipment quality, despite some noted inconsistencies:
- Investment in Modern Equipment: A major highlight is the clear indication that ownership is "putting money into the place." The switch to "hogs hair brushes" is a significant upgrade, widely regarded as superior for paint safety and cleaning effectiveness in self-serve washes.
- Enhanced Drying Options: The availability of dryers in four of the bays is a valuable feature, providing convenience and helping customers achieve a spot-free finish, which is often a challenge at self-serve locations without dedicated drying facilities.
- Specialized Protection Offerings: The inclusion of RainX in four bays adds a premium touch, allowing customers to not only clean but also protect their vehicle's finish, enhancing water repellency and shine.
- Potential for "Best Wash in Town": One enthusiastic review refers to it as the "Best wash in town," indicating that when the equipment is fully operational, the quality of the wash experience is highly regarded. This suggests that the upgraded features, when functioning, deliver excellent results.
- Ownership's Commitment to Improvement: While some negative experiences regarding malfunctioning equipment have been reported, the presence of recent upgrades like hogs hair brushes and dryers suggests an active effort by ownership to address issues and enhance the customer experience. This ongoing investment indicates a long-term vision for the facility.
- Attendant for Support (though responsiveness may vary): The mention of submitting a form with an attendant suggests that there is some level of on-site presence or a mechanism for reporting issues, even if follow-up from management might be inconsistent at times.

Jun 28, 2025 · Chuck TaylorThis self-serve car wash is in terrible shape, and it seems like the owners don’t care. Two of the bays weren’t working properly—one was completely out of service, and another had a broken soap brush. The third bay had a malfunctioning timer and wouldn’t accept quarters. I ended up spending over $10 for a basic wash, which is way too much given the poor condition of the equipment.I submitted a form with the attendant but have yet to hear back from management. Very disappointing. They need to make serious improvements.
Mar 04, 2025 · Alex SenyukI came in today for a short car wash, and upon leaving, I hit the stop button. The screen flashed saying $4.75. Now, on my credit card app, I see a $10 charge and no charge back to balance this out.
Jun 27, 2025 · Daniel BolesThis was the only place I used to wash my car at but today unfortunately will be my last visit. I guess they recently updated the card readers. The first one wouldn't work at all so I tried to get change to use instead since it was pretty busy. By the time I had successfully gotten $2 worth of change, a new spot had opened up but I still decided to use the change I had just gotten instead of my card. After putting in the $2.25 that I believe used to be the price, a nice worker there informed me it was not $3 and something(which I didn't have) and I could not get my $2 back. Frustrated since I had already waited awhile, I had decided to try my card on this spot which ended up working but after washing my car, I found out that it cost me $10!! Instead of beeping to let you know your time is almost up, this new system just keeps charging and charging! I deff did not intend to spend $12 total on a do it urself hahdwash, might as well gone through an automated car wash. Very disappointed with the new changes 😮💨
